Tennis Bracelet Meaning: How The Tennis Bracelet Got Its Name
The "Tennis" Bracelet has been a popular style since the 1920s but it
wasn't always called a Tennis Bracelet. Back then, a never-ending, flexible circle bracelet of diamonds was most often referred to as an Eternity Bracelet.
The "Tennis Bracelet" label
was the result of tennis star Chris Evert's diamond bracelet snapping
during the 1987 U.S. Open Tennis Championships.
The game was stopped
until the precious bracelet was found, a sensation was created and the name "Tennis Bracelet"
stuck.
30 years later, your Giddy Aunts put their own spin on a tennis
bracelet, using miniature tennis racquets and balls... but should you so
desire, we have the other kind too!
