How Big Is A Harmony Ball
Chiming pendants come in all shapes and sizes, and they are all gorgeous, so if you are having trouble deciding on a size, this information might help.
~ The larger the ball, the louder the chimes.
~ Round or Egg shape balls also chime louder than heart-shaped pendants.
~ Small balls tend to look better on shorter chains, and larger balls on longer chains, but the 'look' will depend the height and size of the wearer and whether the preference is for bold statement jewellery or smaller delicate pieces.
Most harmony ball pendants in the Bella Donna Silver range come in a small 14mm diameter or larger 20mm diameter size.
To put those sizes in 'real-world' terms, the larger balls are somewhere between a Chupa Chup and a Malteser (or 10c piece), the smaller balls are around the size of a Peanut M&M (or a little smaller than a 5c piece).
Some opening locket harmony balls and highly decorated pendants are slightly bigger. Each ball has the dimensions listed at the bottom of the product description in the Dimensions Tab.
This picture shows a large and small harmony ball side by side, worn by a 165cm tall Giddy Aunt. The picture at the top of the page shows a smaller harmony ball being worn by a more petite Asher Keddie.
