The silver is very bright and shiny. The locket is a good size for a gift for a girl, because it suits her now but it's big enough that she will be able to wear it as an adult too. I didn't want something that she could only wear as a child. She has it on a 16cm chain for now but can switch to an 18cm chain if she likes when she's older.
